I started working with Digital Edge back in 1998 while I was an IT Director for an Omnicom agency and continued to use them when I came onboard with Macy’s in 2004. At that time, Macys was going through a backup integration project and was having multiple issues dealing with several vendors. It had become an ongoing project that was taking months to solve, which was a problem because we did not have backup. So during this time I had Michael Petrov, CEO of Digital Edge come in to see if he could help us out. Michael spent a full week here analyzing what was going on and at the end of the week, our problem was solved. Since then, Digital Edge has been an important vendor for Macys. What started at as small partnership, ended up growing into a much bigger one.
At Macys, I am in the IT department that is dedicated to advertising. Being in the advertising segment is very complex. There are constant changes and very serious deadlines that we need to uphold. Advertising workflow is very different from any other businesses and not too many vendors can actually understand the business flow and provide technology services because of those rigorous deadlines and ever changing requirements. However, Digital Edge is always willing to help no matter what. Whatever you need, they will find a way to help you. They once spent 3 weeks learning specific software for us so that they could take care of it and support it. I do not know many companies that would go through that much trouble to help out a client, but they did. They are always willing to do whatever it takes, because they are interested in the long term relationship rather than making a quick buck.
Overall I would say that since 2004 Digital Edge has been a great partner to have, and we look forward to continually working with them in the future.
